I have created a short WMV for viewing the new search options that are available on Google. Here they are:
Wonderwheel
Time Line
News Search, Blog Search, Books, Image, Video
There was also mention made of another great site.
This lists outstanding people and talks that they have given. Each of the talks is no more that 20 minutes long. I thought it was an excellent site.
It is TED.com
I have inserted a short video illustrating this site.

There were some very good options involving Google search options.
You may be familiar with some of these but they were all new to me.
First. http://books.google.com/ for finding books.
http://video.google.com/ For finding videos on the Internet. On this one type on the search: Belgium train station dance. It is well worth the time to view it. If you liked that try Oprah chicago dance. Also worth the view time.
http://news.google.com/ for very up to date news events. You pick the topic.
http://scholar.google.com/ for works from leading scholars
http://blogsearch.google.com/ For finding Blogs on specific topics.
I have created a short WMV to illustrate these it is as follows.

On this one you squeeze the noses to create a song.
http://dingo.care2.com/cards/new/0422/Do-a-rain-deer.swf
Form Jibjab. (I do not know how to create these but I would like to learn, if anyone knows how.)

http://elfyourself.jibjab.com/view/8I49W6p9tuJcEEIl
Elementary Activities. I haven't done any of these so I can tell you anything about them.
http://www.northpole.com/
And another that contains Advent calendars, and Christmas ClipArt and others
http://ngfl.northumberland.gov.uk/christmas/
An excellent page for economics calculating the cost of the Twelve Days of Christmas.
There is a games page that carries this concept a little farther.
http://www.pncchristmaspriceindex.com/CPI/index.html
There were other sites that were good but not so much Christmas related.
Pyramid creation, an interactive that allow you to create a pyramid.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/ancient/egyptians/launch_gms_pyramid_builder.shtml
City Creator, maybe like Sim City
http://www.citycreator.com/
An excellent vocabulary activity. They claim they will send rice to the World Food Program for each correct answer.
http://www.freerice.com/index.php
Medical Mysteries I didn't try. You may like this kind of thing.
http://medmyst.rice.edu/
Excellent problem solving skills involving Lego Blocks.
